Today was our Quickutz Club meeting at Ruban Rouge. This is what we made during the make and take - we got to use the new metro font - I think it turned out really cute.
I won a drawing today - YIPEE - I got a free quickutz holly fasteners.
The swap for this time was Christmas cards and these are just a few of what I received. They all turned out great.
Next month our swap is a recipe 6x6 layout - what recipe do I want to use ...hmmmm. We are also going to have a contest - we need to come up with a new shape using our existing shapes.
At the end of this month Ruban rouge is having a 50% off quickutz sale (and the week prior to that the whole store is 40% off so they can clear out the store in preparation of all the new items to come from CHA)- I need to get my list together as to what I want - but there really isn't much on the list...hmmmmm.
The road to success is not straight. There is a curve called Failure, a loop called Confusion, speed bumps called Friends, red lights called Enemies, caution lights called Family. You will have flats called Jobs.
But, if you have a spare called Determination, an engine called Perseverance, insurance called Faith, a driver called Jesus, you will make it to a place called Success.
With everything going on, I have been able to get some scrapbooking done to help keep my sanity.
Journaling Reads:
This photo was taken in the summer of 2005. Tia Soledad passed away in June 2006. She was having a lot of heart problems and went back to Colombia for medical attention because it was easier for her to get the help that she needed there. Sadly she didn't make it. Even though I have only gotten to meet you only a handful of times - when I look at this photo of you with me and my boys it makes me sad to know that we will never see you again.
*************************** I haven't done a digital layout in a long time and had the itch - this layout was done in Photoshop and the items I used are as follows:
Flower: DDE Creative Team Spring Doodle Collection Font: DellaRobbia Papers: Fiesta Set - not sure website
These are my kids first and second cousins on DH side - there are way too many on my side to even start to do a layout - I have cousins that I have never met seeing that they live in Colombia Sout America.
